This past weekend we had another great wedding in the Cole family as Terry and Whitney were married at the Collierville Methodist Church.
The weekend was jam packed with fun activities. On Friday, we had rehearsal at the church. Airey was so excited to participate and carry the rings down to Uncle Terry with Lewis. They both did so well in the rehearsal and we were hoping it was a sign of things to come on the big day.
After the rehearsal, Tip and Judi hosted everyone down at the rendezvous for the rehearsal dinner. It was such a great time! They rented a huge party bus to take everyone from Collierville to downtown Memphis. Then we ate, drank and caught up with a lot of good friends and family. Good times were had by all at the vous as they always do! Thanks Tip and Judi for such a fantastic evening!
We decided to host an after party at our house Friday night since the groom, Terry, was staying at our house. It was a rare late late night for SE and myself.......staying up til 1am talking and catching up with a bunch of old friends and cousins we dont get to see often enough.
After a few hours of sleep we were back at it again on Terry and Whitneys big day! First things first, at 7am before golf we celebrated uncle Terrys birthday (yes he also had a birthday on his wedding day....what a big day for the mayor) with a poodle cake picked out by Airey and Campbell. They sang happy birthday and were so excited to get cake for breakfast.
The wedding was later that night and it went great. Lewis and Airey were fantastic ring bearers and with a small nudge from Aunt Katie, Airey made it all the way down the isle to drop the rings off and get a hug from Uncle Terry. The rest of the ceremony was beautiful and went off without a hitch.
The reception followed at Equestria and was a blast. There was plenty of good food, dancing and catching up with old friends and family. Another late night was in order and we stayed around to send Terry and Whitney off to their honeymoon in style! Congratulations to Terry and Whitney and we wish yall the best as you start your new journey!
On Sunday we tried to play catch up with the time we missed with the kids all weekend. We woke up and took Airey and Campbell to one of their favorite places ever......Putt-Putt. Airey has become quite the golfer and loves to go hit balls on the range. Campbell played on the putting green while Airey hit and they both enjoyed the game room after range balls were over. We followed up Putt Putt with a lunch at Central BBQ! It was a great Sunday family afternoon.
Now its on to the river with mimi, grandaddy and Gigi this weekend. Hopefully this heatwave will go away sometime soon!
Until next post,
