Terry and Whitney's Wedding Weekend!

This past weekend we had another great wedding in the Cole family as Terry and Whitney were married at the Collierville Methodist Church.

The weekend was jam packed with fun activities. On Friday, we had rehearsal at the church. Airey was so excited to participate and carry the rings down to Uncle Terry with Lewis. They both did so well in the rehearsal and we were hoping it was a sign of things to come on the big day.

After the rehearsal, Tip and Judi hosted everyone down at the rendezvous for the rehearsal dinner. It was such a great time! They rented a huge party bus to take everyone from Collierville to downtown Memphis. Then we ate, drank and caught up with a lot of good friends and family. Good times were had by all at the vous as they always do! Thanks Tip and Judi for such a fantastic evening!

We decided to host an after party at our house Friday night since the groom, Terry, was staying at our house. It was a rare late late night for SE and myself.......staying up til 1am talking and catching up with a bunch of old friends and cousins we dont get to see often enough.

After a few hours of sleep we were back at it again on Terry and Whitneys big day! First things first, at 7am before golf we celebrated uncle Terrys birthday (yes he also had a birthday on his wedding day....what a big day for the mayor) with a poodle cake picked out by Airey and Campbell. They sang happy birthday and were so excited to get cake for breakfast.

The wedding was later that night and it went great. Lewis and Airey were fantastic ring bearers and with a small nudge from Aunt Katie, Airey made it all the way down the isle to drop the rings off and get a hug from Uncle Terry. The rest of the ceremony was beautiful and went off without a hitch.

The reception followed at Equestria and was a blast. There was plenty of good food, dancing and catching up with old friends and family. Another late night was in order and we stayed around to send Terry and Whitney off to their honeymoon in style! Congratulations to Terry and Whitney and we wish yall the best as you start your new journey!

On Sunday we tried to play catch up with the time we missed with the kids all weekend. We woke up and took Airey and Campbell to one of their favorite places ever......Putt-Putt. Airey has become quite the golfer and loves to go hit balls on the range. Campbell played on the putting green while Airey hit and they both enjoyed the game room after range balls were over. We followed up Putt Putt with a lunch at Central BBQ! It was a great Sunday family afternoon.

Now its on to the river with mimi, grandaddy and Gigi this weekend. Hopefully this heatwave will go away sometime soon!

Until next post,

well followers of the cole fam, i have to apologize for a month long hiatus on the blogging. I have been so blessed to be super busy with frames and we have been going non stop since airey and campbell got out of school, we had two full weeks of swimming lessons and then a week of VBS at St. Louis, so about 3 weeks after school we finally had a moment to settle down and then we started heading out of town and celebrating 3...yes...3 cousins weddings and wedding festivities! Paige and Brad tied the know on May27th in Jackson, our cousin Shane captured the most amazing pics at the wedding! Congrats Cous, and welcome to the fam Brad! We loved being a part of your beautiful day!

we hosted such a fun fiesta couples shower for terry and whitney and oh my did we have fun; one it was so great to see them celebrate good times ahead with fam and friends, but it also fell on the same week as the st. jude golf tourney { which is one of our most favorite weeks of the year}. airey loved catching lightening bugs, practicing his golf swing and playing with all their grandparents, cousins and godbrother too :) Campbell was surprising good as long as he had a bucket of ice water and plenty of random things to put in it...We thought this year we might actually see a live finish with the boys in tow when it went to a 3 man playoff hole on #12, but they all par the hole and finished up on 18, oh well.

as for fathers day weekend we kicked it off by celebrating our cousin Meredith and her new hubby Nick Canale's wedding with a beautiful bridesmaid luncheon at Memphis Country Club and a Wonderful rehearsal dinner at Chickasaw (thanks for including us Murf!, and BTW we had no idea that was your nickname, but we love it!) . The wedding was completely over the top with the most breathtaking flowers I had EVER seen! The ceremony was beautiful at St. Peters downtown {where Pops and Kitty tied the knot ;)}. It seemed all our friends and family were at the festivities, therefore we all took advantage of the great food, drinks and band until after midnight, which for all of us with kids, we patted ourselves on the back.

as for our actual fathers day happenings, we cooked daddy breakfast in bed and took the boys to putt putt and airey and roger got to hit balls together. we then hit up the vinyard vines fathers day cookout and hung with papa and fam for a bit over burgers and beer. on saturday we took airey and campbell downtown to the flying fish for lunch and strolling downtown and then to a REDBIRDS GAME....airey is on the verge of complete and utter OBSESSION....it was most definitely the hottest day of the year but Dr. Bill our pediatrician had given us the best seats int he house! We were in the 1st row right behind home plate!

as for the last couple of weekends we have been in town and enjoyed some much needed family time. we have just hung around and cooked out a lot on our green egg and enjoyed the last week of nice weather. we have 3 big 1st birthdays, one 4th birthday, and one 3rd birthday to celebrate this past couple of weeks and oh what fun! georgia (little miracle 2 lb 10 oz when born) turned 1!!! We had mucho fun at her fabulous and i mean fabulous 1st birthday party! This week our sweet nephew Cole turned 1 and we celebrated with tacos and cupcakes at Aunt Katie and Uncle Ed's! I won't get into the funny story of Katie's worried head of the candle on Cole's cupcake.....funny memory caught on video...haha! We celebrate our little god-sister Hazie 1st birthday this weekend and....This week will party at Lewis' and Cole dual celebration at Pump it Up....And last but not least we will be traveling to Chatty to celebrate cousin Jacks birthday!!! Whewww....did I forget anyone! I am already so forgetful and senile I feel like... so im sure in the years to come I will get all the birthdays confused and mixed up so I will apologize in advance...We hit up the St. Louis Hole in One this past week and that gave the boys hours on entertainment and of course Airey had to have his own bucket of balls to hit. Later that weekend all the girls made our way to Beale to Whitney's bachelorette party....i will not blog of the happenings....aka...boxers.....chest hair....but fun watching whitney and her "to-do" list!

as for the 4th, we are so thankful for the freedom we have and this amazing country we live in....we thank thank our service men and women and God enough for all they provide for us that we all take for granted to often...help the day remind us all what we have and to be grateful for our country. On Friday Rog and I headed to Pat Green for a fun concert and even sat by him at dinner :)....we ran into lots of peeps from Memphis and it turned into a big party! The next morning we had the Jamison family reunion were Airey has officially started swimming underwater half the length of the pool on HIS OWN! We are so proud! What yummy country cooking and catching up with family. The boys love their MiMi and GiGi! On Sunday we got a Slip n Slide and boy of boy.....the kid came out in roger and i and we couldn't help from making at least 5 trips down it ourselves {to show airey what to do course, haha} until that is...I ripped the slide when i flew out the end and into pine needles and the street. The patterson gang had our whole fam over a 4th celebration yesterday and the boys loved the fireworks {non flammable of course} Yummy burgers and blackberry cobbler topped the weekend off just perfect! Hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend....until next time{hopefully not a month} enjoy the pics....
