golf and parties...

st. louis had the annual HOLE in ONE golf fundraiser for the school and boy we took advantage. We went two nights. the kids love going to play with all their friends on the playground and eating hot dogs and snow cones. Airey got to hit balls with Dad after he got finished volunteering at the Ball table. WE are so proud Roger has joined the Men's club and this was his 1st duty. He and Brian Johnston worked together in the tent and they actually loved it, they are all geared up for next year!

enjoying the bouncer at the Hole in One!

 hitting balls with Daddy

this is what they looked like by the end of the night, haha

roger has his annual father son golf tourney this weekend. the guys love to battle it out before hand and argue over who gets how many shots, who the "grips" of the year will be, and who will Melt like  Klondike. the smack talk continues through the entire year...boys....well roger and his dad had a good chance against their own partners Maness and his Dad coming into the home stretch of their "Amen corner" at MCC...aka Glenn eagle in Millington and imagine my Jim Nance voice..."Roger is 90 yards out on a par 5 in the middle of the fairway. I think this is another chance for birdie and the Title...." and well they both sailed it over the green and no up and down form there...so bogie...Which meant they finished out of the Top 3. oh well they had SO much fun together and that really what its all about and so Dave took the trophy. lets hope {for God's sake} we can live with out Dave's utter ridiculous rants about how unfair the Father son is and he will HUSH up for at least a year, LOL.

well the boys and i had birthday party relay race {two in one day} which actually made for a super fun day and a complete day of cupcakes and ice cream for all three meals...which is just fine in my book and the boys quite frankly. our little georgia who came into this world a little over 2 pounds turned 2 years OLD! such a miracle to see her now! I will never forget that tiny diaper though...We celebrated at the big back yard and the boys and kiddies favorite spot was the wadding creek. boy oh boy these little girls gave our ALL BOY boys a run for their money ;) Next was little Hazies birthday full of sweet treats! every kind of candy imaginable and yummy pink lemonade. the boys wore out more energy in the bounce house and on the swing-set. I enjoyed catching up with the pattersons and their family and Lewis and Airey enjoyed a game of catch.  after the boys took a long nap they were still ready for an early bedtime so i got a sitter and met roger and all the gang up for a post golf outing with all the spouses at east end....that about wraps it up....great fun, great friends, and great weekend!
sunday afternoon FUN consisted of Popsicles and Water Balloons!

roger trying to get one to bust on Airey's head, LOL

YUMMMMMM...... Happy Week!

fathers day

We are the luckiest bunch on the planet to have such an amazing father and husband to celebrate this father's day {and every father's day...obviously, haha}. I mean the man puts up with me and my shenanigans on a daily basis and this my friends is not an easy task. we let dad go play gold at his favorite spot the MCC in millington and he lucked up and got to play with his old cove neighbors the Pattersons. .....But I'm getting ahead of myself......

First on friday night we treated us both to steak on the grill that was UBER yummy and put the kids to bed early. I would say all was well when we put the kids down but Campbell on Thursday had developed a fever virus that lasted 4 days. such a pitiful sad lil man he was.  We were suppose to go celebrate at the river but that stopped us in our tracks so we had to improvise the weekend plans, but somehow those always end up being the best weekends.  On Saturday Daddy stayed home with CJC and Airey and I went to the Big Backyard to celebrate Keaton's 3rd bday which was SO much fun and Airey I enjoyed our little date. I even broke him in right with a "quick" run to Josephs ;). Saturday afternoon we stopped by Mr. P's to treat Daddy to one of his favorite meals: hot wings! That night we watched movies and laid around ,which was super nice and relaxing. Sunday we cooked Daddy breakfast in bed and enjoyed the morning giving him handmade cards, a poem and staying in our pj's until he went golfing. I took the boys Sunday to putt putt driving range for Airey to hit balls, then to the arcade and snow cones all around. It really was a perfect weekend despite our fever virus. When life hands you lemons...make lemonade and thats what we did. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads! We wrapped up the father day festivities with Pops and Kitty over for din din Monday night and Airey of course showed off his golfing skills he has been fine tuning. It was good times had by the Coles. We love you Daddy!!!

golf tourney

we had the annual st. jude classic this past weekend and it was chocked full of fun as always. i actually finished up frame work early so i had three days off before to get my cooking done {which is my fav b/c i love getting in the kitchen and whipping up yummy recipes}. I don't get to cook as much as i use to b/c the frames a somewhat become a full time job so i enjoyed making homemade pizza's we grilled out on Thursday to kick off the festivities and chicken dip, fireside dip, mac and cheese, potatoes, and italian pasta salad for the rest of the weekend. Y U M. We love getting to hang out with all our our family and the boys love seeing their cousins and all the family friends that came out. It really is like a family reunion of sorts. The boys spent most of the time upstairs in the bouncer until they realized that Ms. Bobbi and Mr. Jimbo would let them "swim" aka dip in their fountain to cool off....
and the very special treat of the weekend {besides seeing all our friends and out of town family} was uncle Ed's band JD highway played at mr. p's hot wings friday and saturday night.  Roger and I got a sitter for both nights to hear them jam. Saturday was extra fun b/c the rain came and cooled things off so we even got up to shake a leg and we ran into Grizzlies' Mike Conley, love a celebrity sighting...
Roger and I sweating it out Friday NIGHT, still cold ones and friends made it a F U N night!

Of course the golf was great. it ended up going into a playoff and I got to see the finish at #12, so once again it did not disappoint and raised lots of $$$ for St. Jude !
The boys enjoyed watching some golf after their dip :) and Airey even got a players OB ball! He still carries it around....

G O O D T I M E S....until next time
Cheers!

summer fun

The summer has started off right....we had a fun trip to visit terry and whitney in jackson the 1st week out of school and spent it doing what you do in the summer....visiting family, hanging on the lake, doing some fishing and spending time with the fam. Uncle Terry took Airey and Campbell out to catch lots of fish. We have two little anglers on our hands :) We had dinner over at Kevin and kim's new house one night too. On our trip to jackson we got to stop in and see Papa Pete. He was so excited to see us and the boys....funny story..... we left with a orange teddy bear, that we are not quite sure is legit, haha...but it made Campbell's day and thats all Pete wanted to do :) We enjoyed catching up with him and airey was obsessed with hearing about everything in his room.

We have been doing a lot of catch up with our friends this summer. We had the Pattersons over for pizza one week and went to cook out with the johnstons the next week. we had family and friends over for memorial day. that was a fun day for all the cousins to play :).
The big news in the Cole household is Campbell is OFFICIALLY Potty Trained! He was SO easy to train and it literally was all done in a week..(I count my blessing every night) He is loving the freedom of being diaper free and being more like Bra Bra. They even have tee tee races, lol. Here is a shot of him free bird on the plasma car, he loves his undies so much he goes anywhere in them...literally even out in the front yard...ughhh.....B O Y S
Airey has been all INTO golf these days and is obsessed with hitting his clubs all afternoon. He also still loves baseball and to practice his Southpaw skills with Daddy. He recently was in the playroom playing catch with Roger and said "Wait Dada...lets have a game: Dada you be the Ump, Campbell the pitcher and Ill be the Hitter"....but first we have to "pledge the allegiance"...Rog said he went over to our singing snow globe and pressed it to hear Jingle Bells and said everyone put your hand on your heart and look at the flag....HAHA...Roger replied "where is the flag" ...Airey "right there" into to the blank wall. Gotta love a kids imagination! We took the boys to a Redbirds game a couple weeks back and he literally was enthralled in it all so that fact he remembers the whole ritual DOES NOT surprise us one bit.
Another big celebration was Gigi 79th birthday! I mean COME ON...does she look a day over 60, i beg her for her secrets to the fountain of youth all the time, lol. Really what amazes me more than how she looks is how she acts. She has more energy than me. I swear the woman works 4 hours a day in her award winning yard and still has time to meet up with friends and family and be the entertainer of the party. I hope one day to be like her and I know that will be a tough job! She is the complete love of mine and my boys life. We are super lucky to have her in our lives and be so present and and amazing with my boys. Very few people in life can saw their grandmother actually play and literally run around with their children. We love you Gigi!!!!
As for Mom and Dad.....
Roger and I have been lucky to squeeze in a date night here and there and recently got to go to Iris which was soooooo delicious, i have dreams about the Brussels sprouts salad and strawberry explosion. Our trusty babysitter Hannah is back for the summer so we are hoping our date nights will be weekly again soon!
