Country Music Marathon!

Well I hate to brag (I really dont...hehe) but I am so proud of Roger for running the Music City Marathon in Nashville in 82 degree heat in 4:08! Unbelievable! I am swelling with pride! His 4 months of training paid off and we couldn't be more thrilled for him. We headed out Friday Morning to Nashville and to stay and hang out with the Lynch klan and boy did we have fun! Ella Catherine (Matt and Amy's 2 yr old) played and played. They bathed together, they danced in their matching Elmo p.j.'s after bath time, they chased each other all around the house, they lounged in their lawn chairs and chalked up the driveway and even shared food and drink and TOYS!  They were like mini soul mates, haha! Campbell enjoyed watching the two of them and loved the wagon rides they all got to take together! That was so fun to see for all of us considering EC is going to be a Big Sis in just 3 weeks. We cant thank the Lynchs enough for the food and fun and hospitality! They took complete care of us while in town! We couldn't have done it w/out them! After the marathon Matt and Amy had lined us up a sitter for an adults celebration night, which was a blast! Lime is this really cool new place in the West End of Nashville and we got reservations on the patio and fresh Mojitos (sp?), yummy! It was such a great weekend and it was great to hang out with friends and Airey even got to have his 1st slumber party...Wow what a weekend!
the trio waiting on Roger at mile 26!
Roger with Medal in hand on the Cumberland River (sorry i forgot to rotate it!)
wow what a finish! he is still standing! he had to seeek the Medical team right after, he thought he was going to pass out and starting seeing white...scary...but they gave him salt packets, ice and hydration and he bounced right back! What a trooper in 80 degree weather!
Ready for dinner date w/ the Lynchs'
Matt, Amy, Beth, Me and Rog headed to Lime

Airey giving his water bottle to EC ....awww * notice he is wearing Rog's medal proudly!
At the finish....i cried....I am so proud!

Distressing and a Wedding....

foot board....i have had this bed 11 years, it was a dark cherry finish....wha-la!
now a navajo white....i love it with new new accent fabric for pillows and bed skirt!

hello! ok, i have a new obsession and i think i really might start doing this on on the side. It all started when we needed a t.v. stand for our bedroom and i couldn't find what i wanted...imagine that, or the price tag was WAY out of my $ range. So we needed something temporary from around the house, so we decided to bring our desk downstairs, Ah-ha! thats it! It fit perfect. I decided I would paint and distress the desk...So i did and then got on a roll. I got Roger to take apart the bed Friday at lunch and had painted the desk, queen bed and distressed them all by 6pm...I hate to brag but they honestly look like they are just really old, but fabulous! I have found A NEW talent and calling! Roger got crafty and took the drawer off the front of the desk drilled out a hole and put brackets to suspend the Directv box so it fits in perfectly....so we have a whole New look to our bedroom for about $21.95! WOW!

saturday night was sophie kauerz wedding and that was a blast! pretty rainy but they say that is good luck :). She looked beautiful and I just love going to weddings to remind me of when Roger and I took our vows and to see two people be so madly in love like we were and still are on their wedding day always makes me smile (and cry....I do at every wedding during the vows..i cant help it!) We even got to cut a rug and catch up with old friends! until next time....the coles

Happy Easter!

Mommy and my sweet sweet baby Campbell 8 months tomorrow!!!!
the whole gang...Campbell I think was about to loose a leg his socks were so tight...
playing with his butterfly, the only shot i got in his outfit...bad weather!!!
ohhhh new sand box toys.....
sharing with brother...awww

Hope you all had a Happy Easter and the Bunny was good to ya! Airey and Campbell got lots of Goodies and Candies as Airey says! We had a great relaxing weekend. We will be out of town a lot coming up and going and going so It was nice to play it low key. We took Airey for his first Putt Putt golf experience and that was a thrill....he actually did pretty well.....wonder why? His Dad and Granddad wouldn't be avid golfers or anything? He shot a two with his own club and ball on hole#12 and gave it a good ole try on the rest. He would putt about 4 times, then after that he lost patience and would just pick the ball up and throw it in the hole....so on #18 when the hole just takes your ball, he had his whole arm down the hole yelling.."my balllllllll, it took my ball!!!!" From there we went to the Zoo and that is always a good Saturday staple for fun and entertainment. Dad topped it off with a trip by Central BBQ for some wings and we cooked out yummy steaks that night & polished off a bottle of wine....a VERY nice little Saturday.
Sunday was a nice Mass and off the Martha's for lunch and it was DIVINE! Great seeing all the fam/cousins and having time to catch up on everyones lives. We were glued to the Masters for the showdown between Phil and Tiger....WOW, that was goooood. Then rooting Kenny Perry on with all our might.....somehow he lost.....DANG it! He had me at Hello, what a sweet family man, so sad he couldnt wear that green jacket out of there....oh well, great try for someone about to be 50! Sunday is Pizza night and off to bed early.....but on side note Airey gave us a big laugh when he was eating his pizza and I said to him "eat that piece and then you can get down...." he looked at us and said "no prob-lemo"  heeeeeeheeee No problem in spanish....that boy is good...he cracks us up! He is already bilingual..He gave the band at Chipultapec Friday night a tip and when the guitar player said thanks....he said " de nada" LOVE IT! Hope you all have a beautiful week.

Uh-oh! Look Who Loves Lammy...

A LAMMY BREACH.......Uh oh look who's sucking their thumb with Lammy.....

For those of you who know Airey that means you know Lammy. It has been a rough week for Airey's Lammy, not only did our new dog Annie take right to it, swinging it in her mouth and nibbling on it, which almost sent Airey over the edge (not sure what the "edge" is for a two year old, but Im pretty sure he almost went over!), but his baby brother has developed a really FOND liking of old Lammy and Airey doesnt like it one bit....its like a major security breach and when I say security breach i mean it! Lammy is his security blanket that he loves more than anything! We slept with Lammy in our bed until Airey was born beacause someone told us they love your smell and will sleep better in their cribs if they have something that smells like you, so we did and it worked! He loved Lammy from the start and has been his BFF ever since....so watch out Annie and Campbell, the WAR is on! "THATS MINE, MINE MINE" "MINE LAMMY"....as quoted by Airey, haha!

Excuse the extra post!

Ok, you can read or not read the next part, but i have decided that this blog is somewhat of a baby book for both my boys...i kept Airey's baby book for about 17 mths and Campbell's is so hard to remember to do! Second child syndrome and I HATE THAT!, I said I would never do that to the 2nd one and never understood those Moms who did,, haha....the joke is on me, your just to crazy busy to remember to write in it all the time. So basically I have decided to print this out one day and put it in a bound book for my boys so that they can ahve this as a diary of our lives and family, so I am going to be putting in milestones and antics from each boy to have as a reminder and much easier to do than a baby book! Airey is cuteet than ever now! I LOVE this age! He says 'ok" instead of having to say yes mam b/c its easier and not at rude as uh-huh, that cracks me up. He knows his colors and points out each car we pass as "red, blue, geeeeen", etc...He knows how to count to about 15, but always forgets 4 and 5, He can say his ABC song, but misses QRSTUV..but im still impressed. He loves for me to sing him Somewhere Over the Rainbow b/c thats what Miss mill "mrs. Camille" sings to him at MDO. He completes sentences! He has become more aware and scared of things lately. He loves playing outside and playing w/ his brother! He is obsessed with Lady Bugs,he thinks they do everything to him.."where did you get that cut on your arm?" answer: Lady bug....YOur ear hurts?  Yes mama....lady bug...Your sad?....lady bug, they are his arch nemesis ! He wants me to draw them and spiders all the time! he says he is in a band called the Baby Spiders with Lewis and Uncle Ed! Good Choice of band mates!
Campbell is still hating tummy time, so im wondering if he will ever crawl or attemp it..he has brother to go get him everything he wants! He smiles all the time! He loves the camera and loves MDO! He can get enough Johnny Jump up. He really will not eat much baby food, still likes the bottle a lot! He rolls around to get where he wants to go and has a mohawk 24-7, I cant get that hair to stay down, ahhhh! He is such a happy camper!  He gabs a lot now and loves to play with anything that isnt a toy, of course. He has two bottom teeth and is cutting more as w e speak!
Well that is a wrap up for now! Im sorry i bored you guys! Have a great week!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Well we had the 1st annual Cole easter egg hunt hosted by my boys Airey and Campbell this past Sunday and needless to say they had a blast! All their friends and our friends too got to join in the festivities and a good time was had by all! Watching 2 and 3 year olds hunt eggs is about the cutest thing ever...except they would find one and want to eat it immediately before moving on to another egg....so we had some practice for this weekend! The kiddos played in the backyard while the adults kept a close eye, but I have to say, to have 10 kids all together and no crying to be heard....it was amazing! All the boys and girls we so well behaved and ran each other ragged! I have a feeling all the kids slept well for Mommy and Daddy after that hunt :)! Thanks to everyone for coming! We had so much fun! Thanks to all our friends for all the cookies, juice, and rice crispies treats too! Cant wait for next year, when will have 4 more babies to join in....my oh my this crowd is growing fast. On a side note there were so many prego ladies at the hunt a neighbor said "Do you have to be pregnant to participate....hehe!"

Meet Annie!

Hi everyone....(drum roll please......!!!!!!!!!) introducing the Cole's newest family member Annie Boo Cole, the "Boo" after Kennett Boo of course, and we liked the ABC initials....but the main reason for Annie's name is we got her on our 3rd anniversary so she is our "Happy Annie-versary" present! Well her story goes....She was with a family since she was 8 weeks (she is about an year old now) that basically just had her tied to a tree on a 10 foot leash and she was totally neglected so a neighbor reported it and our vet's office got her two weeks ago. They normally never take dogs in but it was a client of theirs who rescued her so they wanted to help, and once you see her sweet face, who could turn her down! Those ears are toooo cute! The vet's thought about us b/c they know what we went through loosing Kenett and Nelly has been So lonely. She wouldn't play anymore or even roam the backyard, she just stayed right under my legs all day...she has been so sad :(. Well we took Nelly in for her year check-up and there she was Love at first sight! They said she would be perfect for us: non aggressive, loving and just playful and fun! We took the boys in to meet her and she gave Campbell kisses right away and Airey liked to pet her! She just came right to us like she was home....Roger and Nelly also went to meet Annie (who was named Katie at the time....that won't work-Roger's sister is Katie, haha!) How fitting that the vet is where Kennett went up to heaven and where she sent Annie to be with us :)! She is so funny, she loves nipping at Nelly's back legs and running underneath her, hehe! She is fitting right in and has slept all 3 nights we have had her, no accidents in that department, whoooo! She is fast as lightening LITERALLY, i cant even see her when she is running, its like something out of a movie! We need to enter her into the fastest dog in the cove competition and get her into those obstacle course dog shows, its ridiculous, seriously FAST!
We are so blessed to have her and wanted to introduce her to you all! Love, The Coles and new sister Annie
