lately...

We have been uber busy at the cole household these days. Frame business is "a boomin" and we are so blessed that I am able to stay home and raise my boys and still make our family some "fun" money and doing something I LOVE!

As for the kiddies, Campbell is just a MESS! He is so dramatic these days, we swear he is going to win an academy award one day. A friend actually said to me the other day "see, you DID get one boy and one girl, haha!" He is saying so many more words now and is finally getting a little better at communicating rather than fit throwing ...(fingers crossed). He says Play,Juice,Read Book, Thanks, Help and Please. He is just cute as a button and he steals my heart everyday, after all he is my baby and my last baby so I love I can still hold him on my hip and rock him like a baby :) I know there is a reason he challenges me so much and I know he was meant to be my little "merca"..what i call him for Mercy Me as he makes me say about 10 times a day! For right now, Im going to enjoy that I can still wrangle him and dread what he will put me through as a teenage boy!

Airey has gotten into his treacherous 3's we call them...one thing about the two's is they are learning and doing so many new things everyday and you are watching them become a big boy, well...the three's come with testing and no fear and smart comments and they think they know EVERYTHING now. It has been very challenging and we have come to a winning method to control the authority finally ;) We have started a GOLD star chart that Airey has and he earns one gold star per day that he checks off good behavior on the chart (Saying YES Mam, NO sir, Sharing, Minding, and NOT Arguing back to every command ...thats the biggie!!!!, he says, but...but...but I...I...but I....haha! So as of today he earned his 10th gold star and before you ask, no he missed 4 days w/out one because he didn't check off the Good list, so he would work extra hard the next day to make sure he earned it! Every 10 earned stars he gets to go pick a prize so we know are the proud owners of our 1st scooter (Lightening McQueen of course). He holds the door open for girls, which i love and shakes a mans hand and looks him in the eye of course. He is now into fads, silly bands being the NEW thing and he is just a real BOY now, no more toddler, he is a inquisitive, learning and leaping little man!

I had the most most blessed mothers day and cant believe I get to have these two boys all for me, they truly are a GIFT from God and I keep reminding myself of this in crazy days at home and know I will look back and cherish even the hair pulling moments with them. The family and I spent the weekend as a family and headed to Greek festival for fun and I enjoyed breakfast in bead from my boys and my hubs grilled me a delicious steak. On Sunday we headed to spend the day with Mom, GiGi, My brother, sis in law and the cousins. Jack had a blast with Airey and Campbell and we just loved all getting together. Its so rare these days, so its MORE than nice when we do. Hope you all have been well and we will be in touch....until next time

Wow.....we are speechless after of fun filled weekend and trip to the KENTUCKY DERBY! It had been #1 on my bucket list since I was about 12, because we all know I love fashion and celebrities, plus betting and horse racing to boot....its a DREAM come true! Roger of course has always wanted to go because it is one of the most famous days "in sports" to be a part of. We are so thankful for everyone who made the dream happen...Pops and Kitty, Mimi and Gigi, and an extra thanks to David and Debbie Barnes that we stayed with, who made us feel we were at the Ritz. Welcome baskets of Kentucky Derby memorabilia and even a care package for the ride home( on a side note ...boy did we need those goodies after getting trapped and re-routed because of the flooding! 13 hour car ride home.....another memory we will NEVER forget!) We got to the turf club about 9 am and beat all the traffic into the Derby, so we got to take a tour of the terrace and take some great pics. It was so surreal, the whole thing! From watching the horses race to actually picking winning horses and counting our lute, haha...like $59 bucks...but lute non the less ;) We enjoyed seeing all the different people and even met a couple of friends throught the day. The famous hats and celeb sightings didn't disappoint, but the mint juleps did, YUK, those things are terrible! We got to see Smokey Robinson,Jerry O'Connell and Rebecca Romine, the Jackson 3, Tom Brady, Justin Timberlake, Aaron Rodgers and a lot of other sports guys! Roger got his pick with one of his favs, Kenny Mayne from ESPN, that was a HUGE highlight in our trip! We actually got to move to our seats for the actual Derby and the sun popped out for just about 15 min for the race, must have been God smiling down. It was so cool when the jockeys and owners and trainers all walk the track to intro the horses and getting to sing My Old Kentucky Home will give you chills. What a great time and now on to #2 on my bucket list...TALLADEGA!!
