wow a month has flown by and our heads are still spinning..what a whirlwind month packed full of fun. after we had terry and whits wedding we headed out to cleveland,ms so the big boys could participate in the annual 6 man scramble, man do they have fun together and the girl didn't fair too bad either; with a weekend full of shopping, laying out,eating and a few adult beverages in between. they didn't win this year, but in 115 heat, you cant blame em'. there is always next year ;).
after that we had a fun weekend at the river with my family. it was the 1st time my mom, dad and gram had been to heber and we did it up right with lots of fishing, relaxing and cooking GOOD food. the boys took the boat out one afternoon and the girls hit the banks with a bucket of crickets, guess who caught the most....hmmmm LADIES win!
after that we geared up for sweet baby campbells {not so much anymore} 2nd birthday! since we were going to florida the next day it was only fitting for a beach themed bash! we had a small get together with close friends and family and let the babes run wild. it was so cute to see all the kiddos up around the birthday cake digging in at the same time and later all 7 of them hit the baby pool in their diapers {major blackmail /bribery for those photos one day...} campbell was showered with love and tons of gifts and the best gift of all is his brother...the two of them are completely inseperable and have become best friends and enemies all at the same time, but the enemy part is all in good fun. i always said i wanted one of each, one boy/one girl, but seeing the two of them have each other for life as best friends is amazing and i cant imagine if they didn't have each other. what fun the years up coming will be. campbell is stringing together 4 or 5 words together at a time and loves to call airey bruh-bruh. he sips from a real cup now, runs at full speed, can count to three, he does{tries} everything airey does, some with success and some with knots and boo boos after, but he keeps up. He twirls his hair like his momma and says everything twice....i.e. wa-wa..for water. He has really developed his personality this year and is still as dramatic as always but is MUCH better at communication now. He tells us what he wants instead of meltdowns. He is so darling and adorable with his bowl cut i literally could eat him up. He loves to cuddle and is just a sweetheart when he wants to be. He is obsessed with Pooh and sleeps with him ,talks about him and watches pooh movies non stop! We are so lucky to have our little "camels"/"merca"
I cant wait to see what the 2's bring!
The morning after the party we headed out on what we thought would be the longest journey of our lives {12 hrs in the car with a 2 and 3 yr old} most would agree, but to our COMPLETE amazement they did fantastic! not a fuss or meltdown...i have to give a shout out to RCA for the dual car dvd player who gets ,lets be honest about 99% of the credit for the peaceful ride. boy oh boy did we have fun in orlando. mommy shopped, mom and daddy sipped by the pool and watched our boys play and swim and the whole 9. we played putt putt, we swam, we went to the arcade, we did the beach two days, downtown disney, lego land and numerous dinner outings....whew we packed it in, but at the same time we did totally relax and just enjoy our family. it was really the first time since campbell was older we could all enjoy it all together. roger and i are so completely blessed and amazed at this family we have created all thanks to the many answered prayers of the Lord and our amazing Family and friends...life is so good, we have to pinch ourselves, a busy life but a great life.
On that note roger got a promotion at Fedex and is a BDA- business development analysts for Global Sales now for Dell. he had a great 1st week. He said is was like trying to take a sip of water from a fire hose but he loves it! A complete new adventure and we couldn't be more proud of him. He has also joined the Men's club at St. Louis and is looking forward to getting involved with all the programs for the church and school. I am Airey's 3K room mom and cant wait to plan all these parties, everyones knows i love a good party. Well that brings me to school. Campbell started in the 2 yr old room at MDO and just loves it, they tell me he is their fav and they want to just eat him up. Airey is in the St. Louis 3K and has the most adorable teacher and the program is just amazing! I know he will learn so much. He is with his bestie from MDO Elliot so he is right at home. He cant wait to go this week.
