19 months...

sweetness....

well our little (not so little anymore) baby is 19 months now! he is saying things like, juice, more, bra bra (thats airey!) , pleeeese and fianlly says mama whooo! He is getting better at communication and showing/trying to tell us what he wants. he is really getting into books, which is great and loves taking anything he can from airey! He is in the 75% for height and just 10% for weight...so tall and skinny ;) taller than airey....i see competition already in our future. He understands so much of what we say to him which is great, he knows NO and Time out and spank spank, haha! Just wanted to post a cute pic I took today! We had mommy baby time last night when Rog took Airey to a grizz game. Airey got his own basketball and hasnt stopped dribbling since. They had a great time and made a great memory.

We had a fun weekend this past week with Rogers old running buddies form High school. His best friend all through elementray school Adam and his wife Tiff had new TWINS BOYS and the Johnstons hosted a fabulous Sip and See for them and all the old crew hung after afterwards.....i.e. guys in the kitchen talking about old times...girls in the living room talking about them, lol ;) Sunday we hung out with Pops and Kitty and saw the bullies loose a heartbreaker.....booooo hooooo....rog is still not over it. Kids are back in school now and looking forward to wrapping up the year and having a fun summer ahead full of the outdoors, we cant wait!

this and that...

Well its been so long since my last post I can even remember what we have been up, haha. I have been selling lots of frames which has been such a great adventure and I really get to explore my creative side doing them :) It has been taking up a lot of time hence, no blogging ;). Airey has just learned to pedal his bike this week, such a big boy now! He can't wait to ride with the neighborhood kids. I got a iBert baby holder for Campbell so I can put him on my bike and we can ride a lot together this summer. Campbell is still trying to get to 100% with his sickness, but hopefully we can dry up this runny nose for good soon. He is saying a lot more now, and Airey antagonizes him constantly, so we are ready for him to yell "STOP" and kick him one! We know our days as referee are coming soon. The kids have loved playing outside in the great weather with all our neighborhood friends, that it makes up super sad to think about leaving our little Collierville. NO bites on the house yet, but thats just fine b/c we haven't found anywhere we want to look at yet either. We are on Spring Break this week so hoping to get in some fun things if the weather will cooperate. Roger and I are hitting up Newbys for a date tomorrow for the Crawfish Boil (which is where we met 5 years ago, crazy!) We will celebrate our 4 year anniversary this month on the 31st! Until next time....hopefully sooner than the last ;)-the coles

We had a fun visit with our 2nd cousins and Mimi,GiGi, and Aunt Sarah last week! Campbell likes Mimi's glasses

been sick :( and busy

Well we have been sick a lot the past month so there isn't much to report sadly :( Airey is on his 3rd round of bronchitis and breathing treatment/antibiotics and Campbell is on round two..they had tried to be in good spirits but as you know sick baby=fussy babies. It so sad and we hope to get them well soon! We are ready for spring around here! The boys have cabin/sick fever so bad they are trying all new kinds of tricks to occupy the time....Hopefully sunny and 60 soon :)

Weekend before last we had a busy one! Our great friends and neighbors invited us down to Rog's all time fav the Rendezvous for ribs and a bday celebration for Jon and we had the pleasure of meeting some great new friends! That Saturday the Pattersons hosted a dinner for us and the kiddies to play! What a fabulous meal and boy did the kids have fun together! Gray is so big and Hayes is just So animated! Sunday was the big game! GEAUX SAINTS! I have to admit I cried like a baby when Drew Brees held his son in the air after their victory! What a priceless moment in his life and probably a SuperBowl moment I will actually always remember. Hallie Kelly had us over to her house for the game for yummy food and adult beverages! Thanks for all the fun Hallie! My mom, aka Mimi, came into town last week and was here to help with sick babies and let Roger and I go out to celebrate valentines day. It was so romantic...flowers and Elfo's and wait.....2 martini's...whoopsy! But it was well worth it! We had a big birthday around our fam last week too. Aunt Katie turned the big 3-0! We surprised her with all her friends and family and it went off without a hitch. Happy Birthday Aunt Katie!

Big Boy is 3!

Wow, everyone says time flies but honestly I wasn't prepared to actually admit my 1st born is three years old now! He has become such a big kid in every way :) I feel like I soaked up a lot of it... and just then... I will say wasn't it so cute when Airey was a baby and he would hold his thumb in between his two fingers, and Roger will say "that was Campbell"..oh no I am already confusing all the baby memories and they are 3 and under, and Campbell is just 18 months uhhh! Some things feel like yesterday, as in the day he was born, and others feel far away, but bottom line is.. Roger, Campbell and I are so lucky to have such a sweetheart in our life. He is growing by leaps and bounds and can reason his way into anything (where does he get that,ha) but he is really shy too, which is so cute because it reminds me of Roger. He knows about 1/2 his letters and can count to 29, he is recognizing some words and loves books and counting, but lets be honest his first love is sports! He spends as much time as he can practicing tackles with Daddy and kicking soccer goals outside and riding his tricycle. He says he is ready to ride his big boy bike, so we will see as the weather gets better. He is going to be attending the new PreK 3 at St. Louis next year and we are so excited! His teacher seems so sweet and I know he will lean a lot. His vocabulary is already off the charts. We went for his 3 year check up last week and he is 50% for everything and did so great getting his finger pricked (not a single tear) and even went tee-tee in the cup for Dr. Bill, the Dr. said Airey is his best patient! He is officially completely potty trained (no diapers even at night!) and sleeps in his big bed (the one Roger grew up in!) and he even attended Big Church this week, and will start Sunday school soon :) He is so grown and loves to correct Campbell and get on to him and of course Taddle, oh here we go.....! He is still learning the concept of share and we almost have to have two of everything at this house! haha! Campbell and Airey fight over everything, monkey see-monkey do! They are getting better but it is testing our patience to the limit ( we pray hard for patience in this house!).

To celebrate the big 3 the week started with his 1st Grizzlies game at Fedex Forum, which on a side note was evacuated 5 minutes after we left in the 3rd quarter (blessing!) Airey loves watching the Griz with Roger now and we thought it was so cute when the announcer said "time Out" Airey said "oh no...what did they do? they are in trouble"...tooo cute. Then on Thursday his class had him a cute little party and sang happy birthday! On Friday his actual birthday we took him to his fav spot for lunch, Chick Fil A for nuggets and fries and he ran into Hudson a great friend from school and they had a blast, playing Tag. Friday, Marybeth,Brad, Riley and Park came into town so we all went to Chilpulatpec to see the Miriachi Band play! They sang to him and even dressed up as a grasshopper for the kids, which they were terrified of, but he didn't get it, so he sent them into super fright mode! See pics for this face! We enjoyed seeing the Smiths! We don't get to see them near enough. Well our 1st party on Saturday was at Gibson's donuts, Airey's favorite Saturday hangout :) We invited all his school friends to celebrate! They made him a huge donut cake! Our friends and family joined us at Seize the Clay later that day for a fun Pottery Painting party to cap of the celebratory week. Thanks for all the fun memories we loved seeing all our friends, children and seeing how they are all growing up together is the best part! We will have so many fun memories of the Pattersons, Thomas', Shelbys, Johnstons, Hoppings, Jacksons, and Smiths! What a week.....He enjoyed every second of it!

his favorite gift! Mimi gave him the Cowboys set! He wore it for 3 strait days, lol!
Donuts with his school friends!
Gray our godson at the painting party, so cute
Alex , Reed, Dawson, and Hayes doing a great job on theirs!

dallas...

We'll as we all know now the Cowboys didn't make the Super Bowl this year, but a few weeks ago Roger and I were in Stuttgart for a very sad day....my best friend Bonnie's mother passed away and we went to be there for the family and pay tribute to an amazing life....when you talk about death you realize that life is so short and we only get one go around, so in Debby's inspiration we were at I40 about to head back to Memphis and Roger looked at me and said "we could take a left here and head to Dallas for the cowboys playoff game...i thought...no way we can line up sitters, find tickets, find a place to stay and we were wearing dress clothes, no other clothes, toothbrush, contact case,etc...but as chance would have it... it worked! Katie and Ed babysat a couple of hours and our sitter Hannah was able to keep them for the night, and as for the clothes, we had a Supermarket Sweep through Target!!!! It was such an exciting adventure with my husband and we had so much fun on the joy ride down... being spontaneous.. and COWBOYS won their 1st playoff game in 13 years and we got to witness it in Jerry's House :) We are so thankful for all those memories we made and all the help we had from friends and family to make it happen! I would post pics, but we didn't have our camera and bought a disposable at Target but the pics were all so blurry (i.e. those camera's are TERRIBLE!!!)! We hope do that again in the future....Life lesson....you don't always have to have the perfect plan...sometimes the Perfect plan is no plan at all.....until next time....the coles
